Off-plan
You pay in instalments during construction, often 60/40 or 80/20, with a lower entry price. Money goes into a DLD-regulated escrow account. Risks: delays, changes to the finished product and a market that may move before handover.
Ready
You pay the full price (or a mortgage) and can move in or rent out immediately, with a known service charge and a view you have actually seen.
Which is better?
Off-plan suits investors with patience and a reliable developer; ready suits anyone who wants income or a home now.
