Employment visa
Sponsored by your employer, two years, renewable. Your spouse and children can be sponsored once you earn above the minimum salary.
Company owner and freelance
A licence from a free zone or mainland lets you sponsor yourself. Freelance permits are available for media, tech, education and consulting.
Golden visa
Ten years, no sponsor, for investors (property from AED 2 million), skilled professionals above a salary threshold, entrepreneurs, scientists and outstanding students.
